Her expertise and commitment will ensure you have the support and guidance necessary to navigate the procurement process with confidence.

We're thrilled to have Beverley on board and got chatting with her to introduce her a bit more to our members with a Q&A.

Welcome to the team Beverley, what are you looking forward to learning most about your new role at Procurement Hub?

I am absolutely delighted to be joining Procurement Hub as Client Relationship Manager for the North region.  I’m really looking forward to working with all our members and listening to their needs so that I can help them ensure that they receive the best procurement service possible.  I’m excited to find out about members’ upcoming projects and explore what is going on in their communities.  I am also eager to help and advise new members by guiding them through our extensive procurement solutions to benefit their procurement needs and provide a seamless route to market.  It’s an exciting time to join Procurement Hub and I am thrilled to be joining the team, especially with the upcoming changes that the new Procurement Act will bring. It will mean that I’ll be able to hit the ground running in regard to the changes so that I am best placed to help our members navigate them too.

Can you share a bit about your background and what experiences you bring to the table?

I bring with me a wealth of experience in customer service facing roles, having previously worked for Reebok/Rockport International as a National Account Executive in my early career. I am used to listening to customers' needs and exceeding their expectations. For the last eighteen years, I have worked in education. I have been a primary school teacher for the last nine years, having taught across the full primary age range. To be a teacher you need to be empathic and a good listener, so that you are able to support children with a vast range of needs. I am a people person and able to communicate with people at all levels from the very young to the more experienced.

What can Procurement Hub's members expect from you in terms of communication and support?

I am exceedingly organised and leave no stone unturned, I’m not satisfied unless my job is done 150%. The voice of members is key, and I will work closely to ensure that all their needs are met. My empathic demeanour and personable nature will instil trust in members to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved.

Tell us a bit about yourself, outside of work, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

I am married with two very lovely, grown-up children and two adorable, (sometimes!), cockapoos named Winnie and Betty! In my free time, you will catch me walking them through the lovely Lune Valley, with perhaps a stop at the local watering hole at the end, as a reward! I love restoring old furniture and my house is full of it! I also enjoy Amateur Dramatics and have been involved in it for a few years, but actually trod the boards myself last year, for the first time.

Where's your happy place?

I am a home bird and I love nothing more than sitting by our cosy wood burner on a cold night, or in the summer, outside in the garden in the evening with a fire burning. My other happy place is in our tin on wheels (caravan), with the rain pattering on the roof.

What’s your superpower or something people wouldn't know about you?

I’m very good at impressions, (especially Julie Walters in Two Soups – if you know, you know!), and have an innate ability to impersonate lots of accents.

Finally, Coffee or Tea?

Tea, in a morning definitely, as the first drink, then move on to full on caffeine loaded coffee until lunchtime, then back to good old tea in the afternoon.  It must be good quality though, I’m a tea and coffee snob!, life’s too short.

Beverley's passion for client service makes her a perfect fit for the Procurement Hub team.

Please join us in giving Beverley a warm welcome. If you're located in one of the regions listed above and have any procurement enquiries, don't hesitate to get in touch with Beverley directly. She's eager to connect and discuss how Procurement Hub can help your organisation achieve its goals.
