We're pleased to announce that Alex Braim has joined Procurement Hub as our new Client Relationship Manager for the West & Wales.
Alex will work closely with members across the region, supporting procurement projects, framework opportunities, tenders, and call-offs. His role will focus on helping members achieve their objectives while ensuring procurement processes are as efficient and effective as possible.
We asked Alex a few questions so members can get to know him better.
What attracted you to Procurement Hub?
What attracted me to Procurement Hub was the people. Throughout my career, I’ve really enjoyed building relationships, understanding what people are trying to achieve and finding ways to help them get there. I bring my experience in client relationships, business development and account management into an organisation where the focus is on creating genuine, long-term value for clients.
What particularly appealed to me was being able to combine those skills with an organisation that has a genuine social impact. The work Procurement Hub does with its charitable partners and the way it gives back to local communities was a massive draw to me. I’m really looking forward to getting involved with those charities, building relationships with members and seeing the difference the work we do can make.
What excites you most about working with members?
For me, it’s the people. I really enjoy getting to know people, understanding what they’re trying to achieve and becoming someone, our members know they can pick up the phone to when they need something.
I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting members across the West of England and Wales, building those relationships and understanding the different challenges they face. I’m also really looking forward to seeing firsthand the impact of the work we do at Procurement Hub, with our members and the actual change it makes to our local communities.
Being able to see that whole process and know that I’ve played a part in it is what really excites me!
What does excellent client service look like to you?
I think, excellent client service comes down to three things: listening, communication and doing what you say you’re going to do.
Clients should feel that you genuinely understand their needs and that you’re invested in helping them achieve the right outcome. That means being proactive rather than waiting to be asked, keeping people updated and being honest and straightforward.
Ultimately, I want members to feel like I’m someone they can rely on rather than simply being another contact in their inbox. If they come to me with a question or a challenge, I’ll take ownership of it and do my best to find the right solution.
What's one thing members should know about you?
I’m very relationship driven and probably a little more persistent than I realise! I like to keep communication open and I’m someone who will always try to find a way forward rather than simply accepting that something can’t be done.
I enjoy getting to know the people I work with and building genuine relationships. I think business is much more enjoyable when you can have an open and honest conversation with people, and hopefully members will find me approachable, easy to deal with and someone they can have a bit of a laugh with along the way. Oh, and I’m a dog person.
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
I have a bit of an eclectic mix here: Freddie Mercury, Peter Kay and David Attenborough.
One thing you can always count on me for:
A positive outlook and the fact that I’ll always pick up the phone, reply to the email and keep you updated.
Whether it’s a quick question, a problem that needs solving or simply figuring out who the right person is to speak to, members can count on me to be responsive and see things through. I’m a big believer that good relationships are built on reliability and trust, so if I say I’ll do something, I’ll make sure I do it.
We're excited to welcome Alex to Procurement Hub and look forward to introducing him to our members across the West and Wales. His commitment to building strong relationships and supporting successful procurement outcomes will make him a valuable addition to the team.
