To help our members get to know her better, we asked Molly a few questions about her career, her approach, and what makes her tick...
Welcome to Procurement Hub, Molly! What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m really excited about the opportunity to launch new procurement solutions and develop frameworks that genuinely support members. This is something I’m passionate about, and I’m looking forward to building strong, productive relationships with suppliers and the wider public sector. For me, the most rewarding part of this role will be demonstrating the real value that Procurement Hub brings to organisations looking for compliant, efficient routes to market.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and career so far?
I joined Places for People in 2022 as a Buyer and spent the past three years working within the Strategic Procurement Team. My focus was on construction contracts, ensuring spend was compliant, strategic, and delivered meaningful value for the organisation.
Alongside this practical experience, I’m also currently completing my CIPS training, which is helping me build deeper knowledge and broaden my expertise across the wider procurement landscape. I’m excited to bring both my hands on experience and my continued learning into this new role.
What can members expect from working with you?
Members can expect honesty, integrity, and a supportive, straightforward approach. I’m committed to offering clear guidance and practical advice that helps remove complexity and gives members confidence throughout the procurement process. Whether it’s navigating a challenging tender or exploring consultancy support, my focus is always on making procurement simple, transparent, and value driven.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love going to barre and pilates classes they help me unwind and stay active. When I’m not doing that, I’m usually out exploring with my two spaniels, who make sure I never miss an opportunity for a long walk or an adventure outdoors!
Finally, Coffee or Tea?
Both! But if I had to choose, it would be an Americano, either black or with a little bit of pouring cream.
